DMEGC Magnetics, a global leader in photovoltaics, has been awarded an A- for its strategy and action in addressing water security by international environmental transparency platform Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

This rating places DMEGC in the top “Leadership” tier among over 22,700 companies scored by CDP last year and indicates that DMEGC is implementing best practices in transparency and performance. The score marks an improvement from last year’s B grade, testifying to DMEGC’s ongoing efforts and commitment to sustainability.

CDP is one of the world’s largest platforms for environmental transparency and evaluates companies on their environmental disclosures in three key areas: climate change, water security and deforestation.

It uses questionnaires to assess and rate companies’ impacts in these areas based on information disclosed voluntarily. Companies that are requested to disclose but do not respond are given an F.

DMEGC has long prioritized sustainable water use in its manufacturing process, cutting water consumption through technology like water recycling. It is also firmly committed to ambitious goals to reduce green gas emissions, aiming to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. 

This year, DMEGC also outperformed the renewable energy sector average for its efforts in combating climate change, one of the key areas assessed by the CDP. In this section DMEGC Solar scored a B, placing it in the “Management” tier of the rating system and showing coordinated action on issues.

CDP is widely respected for its role in corporate environmental transparency. It seeks to encourage greater environmental transparency and long-term sustainability outcomes through its rating system.

By scoring organizations, CDP aims to incentivize sustainable practices and change within industries. Companies with transparent environmental practices build trust with investors and enhanced reputations, contributing also to improved market positioning.
