Nanhua Futures attended in Singapore last month the Futures Industry Association (FIA) conference, an annual flagship event for the futures and derivatives industry in the Asia-Pacific region. This year’s event drew thousands of professionals from over 40 countries.

Bradley Fraser, Chair of the FIA Asia Advisory Council, addressed the conference and welcomed visitors from all around the region. Together, attendees spoke about future market uncertainties and potential geopolitical impacts, while sharing key insights for the global derivatives market’s healthy development and innovative shift.

At the conference, Nanhua held in-depth meetings with numerous exchanges, regulatory agencies and long-standing industry partners, cementing mutual trust and deepening partnerships. As leading clearing service provider in Asia, Nanhua also actively engaged new industry players and pursued potential cooperation opportunities.

With other event participants, Nanhua discussed disruptive technologies like automation and the integration of AI integration into operations and clearing. Furthermore, they explored the rise of new derivatives including perpetual contracts, alongside the various opportunities and risks they entail.

The FIA Asia conference has been an important meeting point for the Asia-Pacific cleared derivatives community every year since it launched in 2005. Each year, the conference brings together exchanges, clearing houses, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to discuss industry developments and build connections.

Nanhua has been a member of FIA Asia since 2008. The FIA Asia Derivatives Conference acts as a pivotal platform for Nanhua Futures and its peers, helping players to address regional challenges, explore regulatory trends, and together shape the collective future of the Asia-Pacific derivatives markets.
