DMEGC Solar has officially received Germany’s prestigious DIBt certification, becoming one of the first and only Tier 1 solar manufacturers to earn this distinction. The certification confirms that DMEGC’s photovoltaic (PV) modules meet the highest safety and quality standards for overhead solar applications.

The DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik) is Germany’s national technical authority in the construction sector, carrying out rigorous evaluations to ensure utmost safety and quality compliance in construction-related products and techniques.

This certification approval puts DMEGC among the world’s first and only BloombergNEF Tier 1 manufacturers, assessed for quality, reliability and financial stability, to hold the certification.

DMEGC’s certification comes under approval number Z-70.3-309, based on assessments of its Greenhouse Series PV modules for construction-related overhead applications. The approval includes both General Technical Approval (abZ) and General Design Approval (aBG), valid for five years.

The Greenhouse Series features robust glass-glass modules in various formats. These modules are specifically designed for overhead applications such as solar carports, pergolas, and other integrated PV structures.

DMEGC’s certification comes after two years of intensive preparation, rigorous testing, and close coordination with all relevant stakeholders. DIBt’s approval process is known for its stringent requirements, involving detailed documentation and strict adherence to German construction regulations.

The DIBt certification meets growing demand from customers across Europe, particularly in the DACH region, BENELUX and France, as well as other key markets where such regulatory approval is essential. Typical applications range from carports and agricultural PV systems to versatile installations in public spaces of all sizes.
