Tospo Lighting scores multiple industry awards for performance and technology
Tospo Lighting was awarded multiple industry recognitions at the China Light Industry Conference held in Beijing this July. Hundreds of companies from dozens of sectors were assessed on financial performance as well as technological R&D and IP innovation, setting a strong standard for ongoing industrial progress.
The event was hosted by the China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC), the country’s most authoritative national organization in the light industry.
At the conference, CNLIC released the 2024 lists for multiple national awards, including the Top 200 Light Industry Enterprises, Top 100 Light Industry Technology Enterprises, and Top 10 Light Industry Lighting Electrical Enterprises, ranking Tospo 141(st), 74(th) and 6(th), respectively. Each award covered dozens of light industry sectors, including the lighting equipment industry, which Tospo belongs to.
The evaluation for the three lists is based on a comprehensive assessment of quantitative indicators such as corporate operating income, total profits, and R&D investment, combined with factors including scientific and technological achievements, intellectual property, number of patents, and standardization work.
These rankings serve as an important benchmark for measuring the comprehensive strength of light industry enterprises, and the selected enterprises usually represent the trendsetters of industrial development.
The CNLIC acts as a bridge between China’s government and industrial enterprises, undertaking core functions including formulating industry standards, promoting technological innovation and releasing authoritative rankings.
CNLIC houses 46 national professional standardization technical committees and 92 sub-technical committees. It is also directly involved in global committees to develop international standards, including ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission).
Tospo adheres to an innovation-driven strategy, with annual R&D investment exceeding 100 million yuan for multiple consecutive years. It has established a provincial academician expert workstation, a provincial postdoctoral workstation, and a provincial key enterprise research institute, and was successfully selected as a 2024 National Enterprise Technology Center.
At the end of 2024, Tospo held 773 patents (including 23 overseas patents), with 123 newly authorized patents last year, a year-on-year increase of 21% compared to 2023.
