1975 |
|
We inspired peasants to step out of
their rural environment, helped to develop the non-agricultural
industries, created a historical change and improvement in the
status of peasants, provide mobility for village workforce to
migrate from rural to urban environment. These resulted in a
great deal of employment opportunities. |

1990 |
|
The Hengdian Group contributes part
of its fund every year to support urban construction and helps
the government solve three key agricultural problems ? peasants,
agriculture and the countryside. More than 1000 village-run,
joint household-run, and private enterprises have been supported
by us. |

1993 |
|
The group invested one hundred million
Yuan to overhaul the Nanjiang River, which brought great joy
and benefits to the next generations.
Hengdian was authorized as the ¡°national comprehensive experiment
district of social development¡± by 23 state ministries and commissions
such as the Ministry of Constructions and the State Science
and Technology Commission. (It was later renamed as the ¡°national
sustainable development experiment district").
In response to the call of the government, the Group worked
for poverty alleviation in the west. We successively established
many enterprises in poor regions such as Anhui, Henan, Hubei
and other provinces to help the locals pave their way towards
prosperity.
The Group provided funds to build primary schools for the Hope
Project and children's palaces in the western poor regions. |

1994 |
|
Xu Wenrong proposed that culture
was the inner driver for the development of enterprises. We
should cultivate culture and improve the productivity. The quality
of staff is the pivotal factor for the development of an enterprise.
After establishing Hengdian Polytechnic School in 1991, the
group gradually set up Zhenjiang Hengdian Science Institute
(1994), Hengdian Group Kindergarten (1996), Zhejiang Aviation
and Sports School (1999), Hengdian Senior High School (2000)
and Dongyang Tourism School (2001). |

A big flood struck the Yangtze River
area, and Hengdian Group supported the affected area by contributing
funds and goods amounting nearly ten million Yuan. |

The first Chinese Peasant Tourism
Festival was established in Hengdian. Since then, it has become
an annual event. |

Hospital and Sino-Finnish Wenrong Hospital, which is based on

The Economic Forum of Chinese Counties

The Shanghai Normal University and Hengdian Senior School announced for cooperation.
¡°Rewards of Hundreds of Films to the Society in Red May¡± is formally started by the Film Screening Team of Hengdian¡€Chinese Film Industrial Park. The team also goes to ten remote revolution areas, such as Jinggang Mountain in Jiangxi Province, Zunyi County in Guizhou Province, Yan¡¯an City in Shanxi Province, etc. and shows films for the local people free of charge.
Hengdian Group regards the protection of environment as the drive of the economic sustainable development and invests large sum of money to improve and protect environmental situation. The company constitutes the Hengdian¡€ 2004-2010 Layout of Environment Production.
The first construction stage of Hengdian Thermoelectricity Co., ltd. is completely constructed and put into production.

Construct the water-leading project from Nanjiang reservoir to Hengdian with great investment to upgrade the water quality for Hengdian citizens and ensure the industrial water usage of enterprises.
