Nature is like a great sculptor, persevering and leaving behind works of miracles. The continual dripping effect of water droplets have the power to weather through solid boulders to create interesting formations and grains of sand accumulate and pile up like a strong tower over time. Hengdian is like the hand of nature, creating miracles and legends through perseverance even at most adverse environment; accumulating ten thousand into hundred million from scratch.
Through the years, Hengdian Group has been developing different
goals at different phases of its establishment. The staff of
Hengdian Group, known as ¡®workaholics¡¯, would breakthrough all
barriers in order to achieve these goals, resulting in Hengdian¡¯s
success today.
This Hengdian legend will continue on under the leadership of
the visionary man with great foresight and business acumen.

1975-1980 |
|
We were committed to lay solid foundation
for all our developments. Due to constraints at that time, in
order to acquire techniques for long-term development, we had
to select and send young staff with relatively high cultural
qualification to the state-run enterprises. Today, all of these
young staff have become the experts and backbones of various
industries. |

1980-1990 |
|
We selected and sent outstanding young
staff to domestic institutions for further education by stages
and in groups. In order to attract talents from all fields we
adopted different methods and channels to reach out to them. |

1986-1993 |
|
We organised large-scale technological
transformations to adjust industrial and product structure and
proposed the strategy of exclusive concentration on high technology.
The group has made "Principles of Reward for Scientific
and Technological Progress". We established the economic
and technological cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Science
and other institutes to provide a great push for the hi-tech
industry developments. |

1993-1995 |
|
Xu Wenrong was elected as the deputy
of the 8th National People's Congress and won the " Golden
Award of the 4th National Career-starting Award of Entrepreneurs"
and "National Outstanding Private Entrepreneur ".
The State Commission for Restructuring Economic System and other
departments held the "Development Model Seminar of Hengdian
Group" in the People¡¯s Great Hall in Beijing. |

1996-2000 |
|
Xu Wenrong was conferred the honorable
title of ¡°National Model Worker¡±.
With the rapid growth of the Hengdian Group, Hengdian was classified
as the "State Xinhuo Technology Intensive zone" and
the "National Benchmark Area of Township Enterprises".
Japanese NHK TV station approached Hengdian three times to shoot
TV documentary, ¡°Asian Celebrity Xu Wenrong¡± which was broadcasted
at the international satellite channel.
The American magazine, The Hollywood Reporter did a write-up
on Hengdian World Studios and labeled it as the "Chinawood
".
The enterprise regimen summarized by Xu Wenrong obtained the
award of outstanding contribution to China business administration.

2001-2002 |
|
Opening of the Hengdian International
Trade Center and was registered as a member of the World Trade
Center Association (WTCA).
Hengdian Group obtained approval to be the technological center
of national enterprises.
Proposed the strategy of ¡°tapping on people from around the
world, gathering capital from all available resources and deriving
benefits for all¡±. Our goal is to build Hengdian Group into
an everlasting, international enterprise.

In the ¡°the 1st Annual Selection of the Businessmen of the Time in Zhejiang ¡±, the founder of Hengdian Group, Mr. Xu Wenrong, honorably won the Award of Senior Contribution.
The founder of Hengdian Group, Mr. Xu Wenrong, honorably obtained the title for ¡°the 1st Top 10 Innovation Man of News of Chinese Privately- Owned Enterprises¡±.
The Film Censoring Center of Broadcasting, Film &TV Bureau of Zhejiang Province is formally founded and operating in Hengdian¡¤Chinese Film Industrial Park.
The 8th International Children¡¯s Film Festival of China and the 12th Gold Calf Awarding Ceremony opens in Hengdian.
Hengdian¡¤First Film &TV Expo of China opens in the Expo Center of Hengdian¡¤Chinese Film Industrial Park.
