Group set up Hengdian Silk Factory. |

Seizing the opportunity of market
shortage with our silk factory, Hengdian subsequently set up
the knitting factory, the underclothes factory, the printing
and dyeing factory, the textile factory of chemical fiber and
other factories. |

With market analysis, we broke the
tradition in the textile industries. Hengdian took the lead
in hi-tech industry of magnetic materials, which set the basis
for electronic components manufacturing in the coming years. |

Entered into the pharmaceutical and
chemical industry to produce intermediary, raw materials and
other products, which laid sound foundation for large-scale
manufacturing and future medicinal development.
Established the first private group in Zhejiang, Hengdian Group
Enterprise Corporation to put forth the strategy of high-technology,
export-orientation, diversification and group-practice. |

After the approval by the Economics
and Trade Bureau of the State Council, we changed the name from
Zhejiang Hengdian Group Enterprise Corporation, to Hengdian
Group Company and set up Hengdian Group with Hengdian Group
Company as the core. |

We established cultural villages,
entertainment villages, vacation villages and other cultural
and recreational facilities, which laid foundation for culture
and tourism industry development. |

1996 |

Hengdian leveraged the development
of film-shooting bases, to emerge as the pioneer in the film
and entertainment industry in a short span of time. |

1999 |

Along with the establishment of the
Hengdian Group Holdings Limited, the Hengdian Group Company
and its subsidiary companies went through a process of restructuring.
Ventured into modern hi-tech intensive agriculture with the
integration of grass, pasture, and dairy industries. |

Established Hengdian Association of
Economic Enterprises and implemented the separation of investors
and operators.
Put forward the strategic goal of "Third Wave Career-starting"
to create an internationalised Hengdian Group.
Ranked 3rd in "Top 10 National private enterprises",
which was evaluated by the National Association of Industry
and Commerce. |

of film industry has been authorized as the unique national
film industry development base by the state administration of
radio, film and television. |

The First Cooperative Organization for Film &TV Shooting Bases in China ¨C Association for Film &TV Shooting Bases across Zhejiang Province announced to be founded recently.
Chinese Film Group Corporation, Hengdian Group and Warner Bros. Pictures are together to found the first sino-foreign Joint venture of film production. |
